Gymnastics Success for our U9 and U10

ISGA U10

On Sunday our U10 gymnastics squad competed at the ISGA 5-piece National Championships. This is the first time that girls from Rowan Prep have competed at this competition after qualifying at the 2-piece event in November. The girls placed a brilliant 4th in the group sequence, narrowly missing out on 3rd place by just 0.1; as our first time competing group the girls should be incredibly pleased and proud of this result. As a team, the girls placed 3rd in a strong category of 9 teams and they showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition. A special mention to Sophia who achieved the highest voluntary floor score of the competition out of 45 girls!

Surrey Schools Gymnastics Association (SSGA) U9

On Tuesday it was our U9's time to shine. With 3 girls competing up from U8 and representing Rowan Prep for the first time, we were so pleased to come away with a 4th place finish out of 8 teams. 4 out of 5 of the girls competed a floor routine to music for the first time and their dedication to their extra practice and hard work really showed. A special mention to Ayla who was the highest overall competitor with both the highest individual floor and vault score.

A huge congratulations to all our gymnasts for these incredible results.
