ISGA National Championships

On Saturday 2 March both our U9 and U11 gymnastics teams were pronounced National Champions achieving team trophies in both categories!

The girls competed across 4 pieces with each girl helping to achieve the National title. Not only were we crowned team champions, but Pippa also performed outstandingly on all 4 pieces to take away the title of 'Individual U11 National Champion'. She also achieved the highest combined floor score of the day.

In our Year 6’s final National level competition before they leave us at Rowan Prep, all three girls managed to place within the top 10 all around, within a category of 45 girls. With Gracie placing 3rd, Sophie 7th and Charlotte 10th. These girls have progressed so much with their gymnastics in their time at Rowan and we hope that they take these skills away with them and continue to find enjoyment in the sport.

Our U9’s also performed outstandingly in a strong field of 42 girls with another three in the top 10 all around, including Lily taking away the Silver, Heather taking away the Bronze and Sophia achieving 6th. Lily and Sophia both topped the voluntary floor table with the joint highest score and Heather came away with the overall highest set floor score and joint highest voluntary vault score with Lily.

We are so proud of the training and commitment that the girls have put in, particularly in the lead up to this competition and the teamwork they showed on the day. Well done to all our gymnasts and a huge thank you to our amazing gym coaches.
