Rowan Hill Expedition Week

What an action-packed week we had at the Hill! Expedition Week has been a week filled with laughter, smiles and new challenges and experiences and has encompassed all of our Rowan star qualities. The girls started the week by showing curiosity whilst learning about map reading and orienteering in the woods. A BBQ, ice cream van and garden party finished the day off fantastically!

The girls have been showing originality in their circus skills activities this week. They have loved learning how to juggle, whilst walking along a trapeze, plate spin, ribbon twirl and much more. Our day trips to PGL have put our risk-taking skills to the test, as the girls climbed, built buggies, swung on the giant swing, completed Jacob's ladder, hit the target in archery and much more. The girls all worked collaboratively, supporting and encouraging each other in every activity.

We saw glimmers of sunshine throughout the week and managed to get on the open water to learn how to paddleboard. The girls showed resilience as they managed to balance and stand up. The girls loved warming up afterwards as they learnt how to make fires and toast marshmallows.

Mrs Williams and Mrs Green challenged the girls to create outfits from bin bags, bubble wrap and tin foil. The girls' originality shone through as they dazzled on the catwalk. We will need to look out for a few of the items in Vogue!

Then finally, the Hill girls made their way to Chessington World of Adventures to finish off the week. The girls laughed, screamed and dashed about to make the most of the day. It was wonderful to see the girls having so much fun, considering the challenging year they have had.
