Lockdown Loneliness Project

Prior to lockdown, Rowan's Year 6 Leadership Project Team had been organising a special event to help tackle loneliness in our local community, liaising with the Connections group at Holy Trinity Church, Claygate.

Whilst lockdown has meant that the activity morning can’t be hosted this term as planned, the girls still wanted to find a way of reaching out and showing support for the elderly people living alone in Claygate. They asked girls across the school to make a card or draw a picture of something bright and colourful and to write a cheerful letter to accompany it.

Thank you to all the girls that have sent in their beautiful pictures, cards and thoughtful letters. These will now be distributed to local people in need of some comfort and support via the Connections group.
