A Term of Sporting Skills at Rowan

It has been a busy term of sport for all the girls.  In PE, skills sessions and games lessons, the girls have learned a wide variety of different sporting skills in cricket, gymnastics and netball.  We have had three inter-house tournaments, taken part in the IAPS sports challenge competition and also managed to squeez in some cross country.

One of the highlights of the term has been the introduction of football into the morning games slot.  The girls love this session, embracing every drill with enthusiasm and working hard to improve their skill on the ball.  The much anticipated inaugaral Rowan inter-house football tournament takes place next term and we cannot wait to see the girls on the pitch.

In the New Year we will be starting hockey in games and moving to sport acro gymnastics in PE. There will also be further inter-house competitons, including the house colour run which is an annual favourite.

We are looking forward to seeing you all for more sporting fun in 2021.
