'Twas The Night Before Christmas

It was with great excitement that we welcomed Activation Films into Rowan Prep for 2 days of filming a behind the scenes look at how the girls at Rowan Hill celebrated Christmas this year. Since we couldn’t hold our annual Christmas Carol Service and musical performances, we thought we would record some memories of this extraordinary year.

The hall was turned into a cosy sitting room, with fireplace, stockings and beautifully decorated Christmas tree, all ready for a visit from Father Christmas. Against this magical setting, our Year 3 and Year 4 girls performed the 12 Days of Christmas and Noel Nouvelet with the best of Christmas spirit. Year 6’s narration of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, set by the festive chimney backdrop, interweaves its magic throughout the film. We were also fortunate to be able to use Holy Trinity Church for filming our more traditional Christmas Carols and for our string quartet to perform.
